Not More Road Work?!
Due to road work of gas main installations, there is currently a detour on Schooley’s Mountain Road. To get to our office, please take the traffic light intersection of Mountain Ave, Schooley’s Mountain Road and Route 57. You currently cannot get onto Schooley’s Mountain Road from Newburg Road. This may change as they continue to work further down the street. So please allow extra time when coming in for your appointments.
Got Dry Mouth???
Teeth depend on saliva to remove microbes and neutralize acid. Many medications and health issues can impact saliva production, resulting in dry mouth. There are many over the counter and prescription rinses such as Biotene and Colgate Dry Mouth Relief that can help!
Almost Time for Back to School!
Only a few hygiene appointments remain for the month of August, so if you or your child are overdue for your dental cleanings, please give us a call so we can schedule you before heading back to school. Don’t forget, in order for us to fill out your child’s dental forms they must be up to date with their cleanings!
Have You Ever…
Walked into a room and forgot what you went in there for? Getting your teeth cleaned might actually help you remember! A study published in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Pyschiatry hints that good oral care, including regular brushing, flossing, and dental visits may help aging adults keep their thinking skills intact.
Fun Fact
Teeth are used for more than eating. While teeth are primarily used for chewing food, they also serve other purposes. They help with speech, allowing you to form sounds clearly and communicate effectively. Additionally, teeth play a role in facial aesthetics and overall facial structure, supporting your lips and cheeks contributing to your smile.
