Spring Break!!
Our office will be closed from Friday April 4th through Sunday April 13th and will reopen on Monday April 14th. (Only hygiene appointments are available on April 8th and 9th). There will be a covering dentist, so if you have an emergency that cannot wait until we return, their contact information will be on our voice mail.
April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month…
Oral and oropharyngeal cancer (cancer of the mouth and upper throat) collectively kill nearly one person every hour of every day of the year. Of the people newly diagnosed with these cancers, 40 percent will not survive longer than 5 years. The death rate associated with oral and oropharyngeal cancers remains particularly high because the cancers routinely are discovered late in their development. When they are detected and treated early, mortality and treatment-related health problems are reduced. Our office does regular oral cancer screenings, which remain the best method to detect oral cancer in its early stages.
